Peristil LTD is currently the only company in the Croatian market that specializes in architectural design and construction of stone villas in traditional Dalmatian style. The villas are built from hand-carved stone, with 0,5 m thick walls, which ensures thermal and sound insulation and longevity. They offer all the comfort of a modern urban villa but also reflect the charm of an older property, with hand-crafted roof tiles and brick which represents the local architecture.

Return to Stone

Our project “Return to Stone” is about bringing back traditional values in Dalmatia, and restoring a culture that has slowly eroded due to mass tourism. The goal and philosophy is reflected in the following way:

Development of elite zones and thus creating elite tourist areas; Selective construction which would give incentive to the local community to build in the traditional style with minimal urbanization and high standards of quality; Minimize apartment developments along the coastline to preserve natural habitat, vegetation and natural beauty that has withstood centuries; Increase employment opportunities to all ages within the local communities; Extend the hospitality/tourist season to a minimum of 160 days; Offer a high standard of rental accommodation and complimentary services; Encourage and offer financial incentives for the return of traditional crafts (stone carving, blacksmithing, wood crafting…); Restoring horticulture and agriculture to its traditional standards (mandarins, oranges, lemons, olives, vineyards, lavender…).
